CVE-2025-21969 is a slab use-after-free read in the Linux kernel Bluetooth L2CAP subsystem. A synchronization race allows an HCI synchronous command to release an l2cap_conn object while the HCI receive-data work queue continues to reference that object when processing data and sending it to the upper layer. The stale object is read through l2cap_send_cmd. The fix synchronizes the HCI receive-data work queue with connection teardown by adding the HCI device lock.
