CVE-2025-22020 is a slab use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel memstick subsystem's rtsx_usb_ms driver. During rtsx_usb_ms_drv_remove(), the memstick host object can be released while previously queued rtsx_usb_ms_poll_card work remains runnable on the events workqueue. The poll worker subsequently dereferences the freed host object, producing a kernel use-after-free read. The race is reachable during removal of the associated USB interface, including disconnect or unbinding of the parent Realtek USB card-reader device.
