CVE-2025-22045 is an x86 Linux kernel memory-management flaw in flush_tlb_range() when it is invoked while zapping normal PMD entries and the PTE entries in their referenced page tables. The collapse_pte_mapped_thp() to pmdp_collapse_flush() path can use the routine for page-table removal, but the x86 implementation applied last-level invalidation optimizations unsuitable for that use. This can leave lazy-TLB handling inconsistent with page-table removal and speculative page-table walks.
