CVE-2025-22056 is a heap out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter nft_tunnel component. When processing multiple NFTA_TUNNEL_KEY_OPTS_GENEVE attributes, the implementation converts a pointer before adding an offset, incorrectly scaling the offset instead of placing geneve_opt structures consecutively using byte-based arithmetic. This causes writes beyond the allocated heap buffer in nft_tunnel_obj_init. A KASAN diagnostic on Linux 6.1.132 demonstrated a 124-byte slab out-of-bounds write. The correction fixes pointer addition and conversion in both the parsing and dumping code.
