CVE-2025-22056 is a heap out-of-bounds write in the Linux kernel Netfilter nft_tunnel component. While parsing multiple Geneve tunnel-option attributes, nft_tunnel_obj_init performs pointer type conversion before offset addition when locating successive geneve_opt structures. This incorrect pointer arithmetic produces an invalid destination position and can cause option data to be copied beyond the allocated heap object. The upstream fix uses correct byte-based pointer addition and conversion in both Geneve option parsing and dumping paths.
