CVE-2025-24206 is an authentication flaw in Apple AirPlay that allows an attacker on the same local network to bypass authentication policy. Apple states the issue was caused by improper state management and was corrected through improved state management. The vulnerability affects Apple platforms including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, and visionOS prior to the patched releases. In AirPlay attack chains, this flaw can remove the expected authentication or user-interaction barrier for local-network access to AirPlay functionality. Public reporting also describes it as a user-interaction or authentication bypass that can be chained with CVE-2025-24252, a memory corruption issue, to achieve zero-click remote code execution on vulnerable macOS systems under certain AirPlay receiver configurations.
