CVE-2025-25009 is a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Kibana's case management file upload functionality. The flaw is caused by improper neutralization of user-supplied input during web page generation, specifically insufficient input validation and output encoding in the logic that handles and renders uploaded case files. An authenticated user with permission to upload files to cases can store malicious JavaScript through a crafted upload. When another user later views the affected case, the payload executes in that user's browser within the Kibana application context.
