CVE-2025-29628 affects Gardyn Home Kit firmware before master.619, the Gardyn Home Kit Mobile Application before 2.11.0, and the Gardyn Home Kit Cloud API before 2.12.2026. The vulnerability arises because an Azure IoT Hub connection string is downloaded over an insecure HTTP connection rather than a protected transport such as HTTPS. Because the connection string is transmitted without transport-layer protection, an attacker positioned on the network path can intercept or modify the response in a man-in-the-middle attack. Exposure of this connection string can enable compromise of device-to-cloud trust and may allow an attacker to capture device credentials or take control of vulnerable home kits.
