CVE-2025-3047 is a vulnerability in the AWS Serverless Application Model Command Line Interface (SAM CLI) build process when used with Docker. If symlinks are present in the build files, the container environment can be exploited to access privileged files on the host system. This occurs because the SAM CLI, running with elevated permissions, can be tricked into following symlinks that point to sensitive files on the host, allowing an attacker to copy these files into the container where they may be more accessible.
