CVE-2025-32957 affects baserCMS prior to version 5.2.3. The vulnerability is in the application's restore function, which accepts a user-supplied .zip archive and automatically extracts its contents. A PHP file contained in the archive can then be included via require_once without validation or restriction of the filename. Because attacker-controlled PHP code from the uploaded archive is loaded and executed by the application, a maliciously crafted backup archive can trigger arbitrary code execution on the server during the restore process.
