CVE-2025-34074 is an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability in Lucee's administrative interface, specifically in the scheduled task functionality exposed via /lucee/admin/web.cfm. An administrator can configure a scheduled task to fetch a remote attacker-controlled .cfm file. Lucee then writes that file into the webroot and allows it to be executed by the server with the privileges of the Lucee service account. The issue stems from insecure design in the scheduled task feature: Lucee does not enforce sufficient integrity validation, path restrictions, or execution controls on fetched task content. As a result, the feature can be abused to place and execute arbitrary ColdFusion Markup Language code on the target system. The provided content explicitly notes that this issue is distinct from CVE-2024-55354.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module: 'lucee_scheduled_job.rb', which targets Lucee servers with an exposed administrative web interface. The exploit leverages the ability of an authenticated admin to create a scheduled job that fetches and executes a remote ColdFusion (.cfm) file. The module starts a local HTTP server to serve a malicious .cfm payload, instructs the Lucee server to schedule and execute a job that fetches this payload, and thus achieves remote code execution as the Lucee service user. The payload is customizable and can execute arbitrary OS commands (via cmd.exe on Windows or /bin/bash on Unix). The exploit requires valid admin credentials and network access to the Lucee admin interface (default: /lucee/admin/web.cfm, port 8888). The module cleans up after itself by removing the scheduled job. Artifacts may be left in Lucee log files and the webroot. The code is mature, weaponized, and part of the Metasploit framework.
