CVE-2025-34095 is an unauthenticated OS command injection vulnerability affecting Mako Server versions 2.5 and 2.6. The issue is present in the tutorial/example interface exposed through the examples/save.lsp endpoint. An attacker can send a crafted HTTP PUT request containing arbitrary Lua code that invokes os.execute(). The supplied payload is persisted to disk and later executed when the corresponding content is triggered through a subsequent GET request to examples/manage.lsp. Because the injected Lua code can call operating system commands, successful exploitation results in remote command execution on the host running Mako Server. The vulnerability affects both Windows and Unix-like deployments.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (makoserver_cmd_exec.rb) that exploits an OS command injection vulnerability in Mako Server versions 2.5 and 2.6. The exploit works by sending a specially crafted PUT request to the '/examples/save.lsp' endpoint, injecting a Lua 'os.execute' call containing attacker-supplied commands. The injected code is then executed by sending a GET request to '/examples/manage.lsp'. The module supports both Windows and Unix platforms and allows remote code execution with the privileges of the Mako Server process. The code includes a check method to verify the presence of the vulnerable endpoints and the Mako Server software. The exploit is operational and provides a mechanism for arbitrary command execution, but does not include advanced post-exploitation features. The only file in the repository is a Ruby script designed for use within the Metasploit framework.
