ProcessMaker versions prior to 3.5.4 are vulnerable to unrestricted file upload due to improper validation of uploaded plugin archives. An attacker with administrative privileges can upload a malicious .tar plugin containing arbitrary PHP code. When the plugin is installed, the install() method is executed, allowing the attacker's PHP code to run on the server with the web server user's privileges. This vulnerability can be chained with CVE-2022-38577 to escalate privileges from a low-privileged user to full remote code execution.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module (processmaker_plugin_upload.rb) that exploits a vulnerability in ProcessMaker (CVE-2025-34097) allowing authenticated administrators to upload and install a malicious plugin. The exploit works by authenticating to the ProcessMaker web interface using provided administrator credentials, generating a PHP plugin containing a Metasploit payload, and uploading it via the plugin import functionality. Once installed, the plugin's install() method executes the payload, resulting in remote code execution as the web server user. The module supports cleanup by removing the uploaded plugin files. The exploit targets multiple ProcessMaker versions on both Windows and Linux platforms. The main attack vector is network-based, leveraging HTTP POST requests to specific ProcessMaker endpoints. The code is weaponized, as it is part of the Metasploit framework and allows for customizable payloads.
