CVE-2025-34101 is an unauthenticated command injection vulnerability in Serviio Media Server versions 1.4 through 1.8 on Windows. The /rest/action API endpoint, exposed by the console component (default port 23423), contains a flaw in the checkStreamUrl method, which passes the VIDEO parameter unsanitized to cmd.exe. This allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary system commands with the privileges of the web server process. The REST API is exposed by default and lacks authentication or access controls, making exploitation trivial. The vulnerability is also present in the FFMPEGWrapper component, and affects both PRO and standard versions, with confirmed impact on Windows, Mac OS X, and Linux.

This repository contains a single Metasploit module targeting an unauthenticated remote command execution vulnerability (CVE-2025-34101) in Serviio Media Server versions 1.4 to 1.8 on Windows. The exploit abuses the 'checkStreamUrl' method of the REST API (default port 23423, endpoint /rest/action), which fails to sanitize the 'VIDEO' parameter, allowing arbitrary command execution via cmd.exe. The module uses Metasploit's command stager to deliver payloads, enabling attackers to gain privileged code execution on the target. The code is mature and weaponized, requiring only network access to the vulnerable service. The repository is structured as a single Ruby file compatible with the Metasploit framework.
