CVE-2025-34158 is an incorrect resource-transfer and authorization flaw in Plex Media Server versions 1.41.7.x through 1.42.0.x. The /myplex/account API endpoint can disclose the Plex Media Server owner’s account details, including an administrative access token, to an authenticated user who is not the server owner and may hold only low privileges. The exposed administrative token can subsequently be used with Plex resource APIs to identify other servers and resources accessible to the owner.

A previously disclosed Plex vulnerability that could allow theft of a Plex Media Server owner's credentials.
A high-severity Plex vulnerability reported in August 2025 that allowed credential theft.
A high-severity broken access-control and privilege-management flaw in Plex Media Server's API. A low-privileged authenticated user could retrieve the server owner's administrative token via /myplex/account, then use it to enumerate Plex servers, libraries, and network resources through /api/resources.
High-severity Plex Media Server authentication flaw (CVSS 8.5) that exposed a server owner's account data and administrative access token to lower-privileged authenticated users. Chaining access to /myplex/account with /api/resources could enable discovery and mapping of other Plex servers accessible to the owner.
