CVE-2025-34226 affects OpenPLC Runtime v3. The vulnerability is an input validation flaw in the /upload-program-action endpoint used during program uploads. Specifically, the epoch_time field is not properly validated, allowing a crafted value to corrupt entries in the programs database. A malformed upload can therefore introduce persistent database corruption. The runtime may continue operating immediately after the malicious upload, but upon restart it can fail to start because of the corrupted database state. The issue was remediated in commit 095ee09.
