CVE-2025-3462 is an insufficient input and origin validation vulnerability in ASUS DriverHub affecting versions prior to 1.0.6.0. The local DriverHub service accepts crafted HTTP requests from unauthorized sources due to weak validation of request origin and trust assumptions around internal communications. Reported behavior indicates the service improperly accepts requests when the Origin value matches an overly permissive pattern rather than a strict trusted origin check, allowing an attacker-controlled website to interact with DriverHub functionality that should be restricted to trusted ASUS-controlled sources. On its own, the flaw enables unauthorized interaction with internal software features; when combined with the related DriverHub validation flaw CVE-2025-3463, it can be used as part of a remote code execution chain.
