CVE-2025-35939 is an external control of assumed-immutable web parameter vulnerability in Craft CMS. When redirecting an unauthenticated request that requires authentication to the login page, Craft CMS creates a server-side PHP session file and stores the client-supplied return URL without sanitizing its parameters. An unauthenticated attacker can therefore write arbitrary content, including potential PHP code, to a predictable session-file location. Execution of injected content requires combination with a separate vulnerability that can access or execute the session file.
