CVE-2025-36001 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in IBM Db2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows, including Db2 Connect Server, affecting versions 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.3. An authenticated user can submit a specially crafted SQL statement containing XML that triggers uncontrolled recursion during processing. The flaw can exhaust stack or other processing resources and destabilize the database engine, resulting in service interruption or a server crash.
