CVE-2025-37882 is a race condition in the Linux kernel USB xHCI driver's handling of isochronous Ring Underrun/Overrun (xrun) events. On xHCI 1.1 and later controllers, an xrun event's TRB pointer identifies the enqueue position at the time of the error; older controllers may report a null pointer. Before delayed interrupt handling processes the event, the ring position can be reused for a newly queued transfer descriptor (TD). If this occurs after a Missed Service Error, the driver can skip missed TDs and incorrectly treat the new TD as belonging to the event, completing it prematurely. The correction avoids completing TDs directly from xrun events, tolerates null, link, no-op, and nonmatching TRB pointers, and handles xrun events with a clear skip flag to recover a TD left in an error-mid-TD state.
