CVE-2025-38180 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel ATM networking subsystem. The /proc/net/atm/lec handler did not safely account for concurrent changes to the dev_lec[] device array. It could invoke dev_put() without a corresponding prior dev_hold(), causing a network-device reference-count imbalance and allowing a referenced object to be freed while still in use.
