CVE-2025-38412 is a NULL-pointer/invalid-object dereference vulnerability in the Linux kernel platform/x86 dell-wmi-sysman driver. Sysfs callbacks retrieve WMI data blocks and dereference their contents without first validating that the returned block is valid. The fix adds validity checks before dereferencing retrieved WMI data blocks.
