CVE-2025-38676 is a Linux kernel vulnerability in the AMD IOMMU subsystem (iommu/amd). The flaw occurs during parsing of a kernel command-line argument, where a maximum-length input string can cause a one-byte write past the end of the stack buffer named "acpiid". This is an off-by-one stack-based buffer overflow triggered from kernel command-line input. The issue was fixed by changing the AMD IOMMU code to avoid writing beyond the end of the buffer when the "str" argument reaches its maximum length.
