CVE-2025-39946 is an out-of-bounds write condition in the Linux kernel TLS receive path. When socket buffering is too small to retain an entire TLS record, the stream parser may process data before the complete record is available. If a subsequently completed TLS record has an invalid header, the parser could retry processing rather than terminate the stream. Each retry can copy additional data into the allocated socket buffer, eventually overflowing its available space. The fix makes tls_rx_msg_size() abort the stream parser when it detects an invalid TLS record.
