CVE-2025-40318 is a race condition in the Linux kernel Bluetooth subsystem. The hci_cmd_sync_dequeue_once() function performs command entry lookup and cancellation in separate lock sections, allowing hci_cmd_sync_work() to remove the same entry between these operations. This can cause a double list_del() operation and use-after-free. The fix holds cmd_sync_work_lock across both lookup and cancellation to prevent concurrent removal.
