CVE-2025-40745 is an improper certificate validation flaw in Siemens Analytics Toolkit as used by multiple Siemens applications, including Siemens Software Center, Simcenter 3D, Simcenter Femap, Simcenter STAR-CCM+, Solid Edge SE2025, Solid Edge SE2026, and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. Affected applications do not properly validate client certificates when connecting to the Analytics Service endpoint. Because certificate validation is insufficient, an unauthenticated remote attacker positioned on the network path could interfere with the connection and conduct a man-in-the-middle attack. Reported affected versions are Siemens Software Center earlier than 3.5.8.2, Simcenter 3D earlier than 2506.6000, Simcenter Femap earlier than 2506.0002, Simcenter STAR-CCM+ earlier than 2602, Solid Edge SE2025 earlier than 225.0 Update 13, Solid Edge SE2026 earlier than 226.0 Update 04, and Tecnomatix Plant Simulation earlier than 2504.0008.
