CVE-2025-42957 is a critical code injection vulnerability in SAP S/4HANA affecting RFC-exposed function module logic in both Private Cloud and On-Premise deployments. The flaw allows an authenticated attacker with low privileges to supply crafted input that is incorporated into dynamic ABAP execution paths, enabling arbitrary ABAP code injection. Available reporting indicates the vulnerable logic fails to properly validate or sanitize attacker-controlled input and also bypasses essential authorization checks, causing the exposed function module to behave as an effective backdoor. Successful exploitation can permit arbitrary code execution within the SAP application context and can lead to full compromise of the SAP system.
