CVE-2025-4601 is a privilege escalation vulnerability in the RH - Real Estate WordPress Theme for WordPress affecting all versions up to and including 4.4.0. The issue is caused by insufficient restriction of which user roles may be assigned during profile updates in the theme's inspiry_update_profile() function. Because the function does not properly enforce role update authorization, an authenticated user can manipulate profile update data to assign themselves a higher-privileged role. According to the provided information, attackers with subscriber-level access or higher can escalate their account to administrator. The issue was only partially addressed in 4.4.0 and fully fixed in 4.4.1.
