CVE-2025-46816 affects goshs, a SimpleHTTPServer written in Go. In versions starting at 0.3.4 and before 1.0.5, if goshs is started without arguments, remote users can execute commands on the server. The issue is caused by the dispatchReadPump function failing to enforce the -c CLI option before processing WebSocket input, which results in improper access control over command-execution functionality. An attacker can abuse the WebSocket interface to submit arbitrary commands for execution on the host running goshs.

This repository provides a proof-of-concept exploit for CVE-2025-46816, targeting the 'goshs' application (versions prior to 1.0.5) which is vulnerable to unauthenticated remote code execution via its WebSocket interface. The main exploit script, 'exp.py', is a Python program that connects to the target's WebSocket endpoint (either ws:// or wss://) and allows the attacker to send arbitrary shell commands, receiving and displaying the output in an interactive shell-like interface. The exploit does not require authentication and leverages a JSON-based command payload. The repository includes a README with usage information, a requirements.txt listing Python dependencies (notably 'websockets' and 'rich'), and a .gitignore. The exploit is operational and demonstrates the vulnerability by providing a working remote shell over WebSocket.
