The flaw is described as a permissions bypass present in multiple locations that makes it possible to launch activities from the background when such launches should be restricted. By bypassing intended permission or policy enforcement around background activity starts, a local attacker can abuse normal app execution context to perform actions with greater privileges than intended. Exploitation does not require user interaction and has been reported as occurring under limited, targeted exploitation.
