CVE-2025-48769 is a use-after-free vulnerability in the Apache NuttX RTOS virtual filesystem rename implementation. Recursive processing and reuse of one buffer through two pointer variables can permit reallocation of an attacker-sized buffer and a subsequent write to a previously freed heap chunk. This can produce unintended virtual filesystem rename or move results.
