CVE-2025-49553 is a DOM-based cross-site scripting vulnerability affecting Adobe Connect versions 12.9 and earlier. The flaw resides in the Adobe Connect web client, where client-side JavaScript processes attacker-controllable data from browser-side sources and inserts it into the DOM without sufficient sanitization or neutralization. By inducing a target to open a crafted link or navigate to a malicious web page, an unauthenticated attacker can cause arbitrary JavaScript to execute in the victim’s browser within the Adobe Connect application context. The issue is entirely client-side, affects hosted, managed service, and on-premises deployments using vulnerable versions, and has high confidentiality and integrity impact because the executed script runs in the user’s active Adobe Connect session.
