CVE-2025-51643 affects Meitrack T366G-L GPS tracker devices. The device's onboard SPI flash chip, identified as a Winbond 25Q64JVSIQ, is accessible without authentication, encryption, or tamper protection. An attacker with physical access to the hardware can attach a standard SPI programmer and use tooling such as flashrom to read out the contents of the flash directly. Successful extraction of the firmware and stored data can expose sensitive configuration information, including APN credentials, backend server information, and other network parameters. The issue is a hardware/firmware protection weakness in which sensitive data stored in non-volatile memory is not adequately protected against direct physical access.
