CVE-2025-53506 is an uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability in Apache Tomcat's HTTP/2 handling. A client that does not acknowledge the initial SETTINGS frame which reduces the maximum permitted concurrent streams can cause Apache Tomcat to process excessive HTTP/2 streams. Affected releases are Tomcat 11.0.0-M1 through 11.0.8, 10.1.0-M1 through 10.1.42, and 9.0.0.M1 through 9.0.106. End-of-life Tomcat 8.5.0 through 8.5.100 is also known to be affected.
