CVE-2025-5456 is a buffer over-read vulnerability in multiple Ivanti access security products, including Ivanti Connect Secure, Ivanti Policy Secure, Ivanti ZTA Gateway, and Ivanti Neurons for Secure Access. The flaw affects Ivanti Connect Secure before 22.7R2.8 or 22.8R2, Ivanti Policy Secure before 22.7R1.5, Ivanti ZTA Gateway before 2.8R2.3-723, and Ivanti Neurons for Secure Access before 22.8R1.4. The weakness is classified as CWE-125 and is consistent with improper bounds checking while processing attacker-controlled network data or protocol input, causing the software to read beyond the intended buffer boundary. A remote unauthenticated attacker can trigger the flaw over the network and cause the affected service or appliance to crash or become unstable.
