CVE-2025-54795 is an OS command-injection vulnerability in Anthropic Claude Code versions prior to 1.0.20. Inadequate sanitization and parsing of commands treated as allowlisted permits attacker-controlled input to escape the intended argument context of an approved shell command, including permissive patterns such as echo. The resulting injected shell syntax can execute commands outside the allowlisted operation without invoking Claude Code's normal confirmation prompt.

Claude Code command-injection vulnerability that can enable remote code execution.
A command-injection vulnerability in Anthropic Claude Code's pre-approved command handling. Insufficient escaping of user-controlled input lets an attacker inject arbitrary shell commands through a permitted command, bypassing confirmation controls. Its impact is greater when Claude Code runs with elevated privileges or processes untrusted input.
A previously identified Claude Code code execution vulnerability mentioned as background/comparison material, not the main subject of this post.
