CVE-2025-58060 is an authentication-bypass vulnerability in OpenPrinting CUPS 2.4.12 and earlier. When CUPS is configured with an AuthType other than Basic, it does not validate the password in a client-supplied Authorization: Basic header. The authentication-type mismatch allows the request to proceed without proper credential verification, bypassing protection on CUPS administrative and other authenticated endpoints.
