CVE-2025-58098 is a vulnerability in Apache HTTP Server affecting versions before 2.4.66, specifically 2.4.65 and earlier, when Server Side Includes (SSI) is enabled and the server uses mod_cgid rather than mod_cgi. In the affected configuration, Apache passes the shell-escaped query string to SSI #exec cmd="..." directives. This creates an unsafe interaction between request-supplied query string data and SSI command execution behavior. The issue is remotely exploitable and arises only under the combination of SSI processing and mod_cgid being loaded.
