CVE-2025-59028 is an input validation flaw in Dovecot core affecting OX Dovecot Pro core 3.1.0 and OX Dovecot CE core 2.4.0. When a client sends invalid base64-encoded SASL authentication data, the login process can be disconnected from the auth server. Because active authentication sessions are multiplexed through that login/auth relationship, the fault causes all active concurrent authentication sessions handled by that process to fail. The issue therefore enables denial of service against concurrent login activity by supplying malformed BASE64 SASL input during authentication. The advisory identifies this as DOV-8349 and states that no publicly available exploits are known.
