CVE-2025-59302 is a code injection vulnerability in Apache CloudStack affecting versions 4.18.0 before 4.20.2 and 4.21.0 before 4.22.0. The vulnerability exists in several admin-only APIs (quotaTariffCreate, quotaTariffUpdate, createSecondaryStorageSelector, updateSecondaryStorageSelector, updateHost, updateStorage) that improperly control the generation and interpretation of code, specifically JavaScript expressions. This allows an authenticated admin user to inject and execute arbitrary code via these APIs. The vulnerability was reported by Tianyi Cheng from Huawei.

This repository provides a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for CVE-2025-59302, a code injection vulnerability in Apache CloudStack's admin APIs. The exploit demonstrates how an attacker with standard user credentials can chain a session hijacking flaw with a code injection in several admin API endpoints (quotaTariffCreate, quotaTariffUpdate, createSecondaryStorageSelector, updateSecondaryStorageSelector, updateHost, updateStorage) to achieve arbitrary code execution, even on patched versions (4.20.2, 4.22.0) by bypassing the js.interpretation.enabled mitigation. The repository contains a detailed README.md explaining the vulnerability, usage instructions, and a list of tested payloads in demo_payloads.txt. Payloads include reverse shells, data exfiltration via HTTP(S), webshell drops, persistent callbacks, and system configuration changes. Several fingerprintable endpoints are present, such as attacker-controlled HTTPS URLs, a reverse shell IP:port, and file paths for webshells and indicators. The exploit is a PoC, not weaponized, and is intended for research and demonstration purposes.
