CVE-2025-62207 is a high-severity server-side request forgery vulnerability in Microsoft Azure Monitor. The weakness is associated with insufficient validation of user-controlled input used by Azure Monitor components that process URLs or similar request parameters, allowing the service to be induced to issue unintended server-side requests. In a cloud context, this behavior can expose internal Azure resources that are normally not directly reachable by an attacker, including metadata and identity-related endpoints. Successful exploitation may allow retrieval of sensitive credentials or managed identity tokens and can result in privilege escalation within the Azure Monitor environment by bypassing intended authentication and authorization boundaries.
