A vulnerability was discovered in Awesome Miner thru 11.2.4 that allows arbitrary read and write to kernel memory and MSRs (such as LSTAR) as an unprivileged user. This is due to the implementation of an insecure version of WinRing0 (1.2.0.5, renamed to IntelliBreeze.Maintenance.Service.sys) that lacks a properly secured DACL, allowing unprivileged users to interact with the driver and, as a result, the kernel. This can result in local privilege escalation, information disclosure, denial of service, and other unspecified impacts.

This repository contains a proof-of-concept (PoC) exploit for CVE-2025-63602, targeting the Awesome Miner 11.2.4 software on Windows. The exploit leverages an insecure driver (WinRing0_1_2_0) to achieve arbitrary kernel read/write to Model-Specific Registers (MSRs), specifically MSR_LSTAR. The repository consists of a README.md describing the vulnerability and a single C++ file (poc.cpp) implementing the exploit. The code opens a handle to the vulnerable driver, reads the MSR_LSTAR register, and then writes an invalid value to it, demonstrating the ability to overwrite kernel code pointers, which can result in kernel code execution or a system crash (BSOD). The exploit requires local access and sufficient privileges to interact with the driver. No network endpoints are involved; the only fingerprintable endpoint is the device path for the vulnerable driver.
