Aranda Service Desk Web Edition (ASDK API 8.6) contains an authenticated remote code execution flaw stemming from improper validation of uploaded files. An authenticated attacker can send a crafted POST request to the file-upload endpoint (/ASDKAPI/api/v8.6/item/addfile) to upload a malicious web.config into a web-accessible upload directory. Because the ASP.NET runtime processes web.config files as configuration, the attacker-controlled configuration can change the execution context/handler mappings for that directory, enabling compilation and execution of attacker-supplied code (e.g., facilitating creation/execution of an .aspx webshell).
