BMC FootPrints ITSM versions 20.20.02 through 20.24.01.001 contain a blind server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the searchWeb API component, specifically at the /footprints/servicedesk/import/searchWeb endpoint using the url parameter. The flaw is caused by improper URL validation, allowing an authenticated attacker to supply arbitrary URLs and cause the FootPrints server to initiate outbound requests to attacker-chosen destinations. Because the SSRF is blind, the attacker does not directly receive the response body, but can still use the vulnerable server as a proxy to reach internal or otherwise inaccessible network resources.
