CVE-2025-71259 is a blind server-side request forgery vulnerability in BMC FootPrints ITSM affecting versions 20.20.02 through 20.24.01.001. The flaw is present in the externalfeed/RSS API component, specifically the /footprints/servicedesk/externalfeed/RSS endpoint via the feedUrl parameter. Insufficient validation of externally supplied resource references allows an authenticated attacker to cause the FootPrints server to initiate arbitrary outbound requests to attacker-specified destinations. Because the SSRF is blind, the attacker may not directly receive the full response body, but can still use the server as a network pivot to probe internal services, reach otherwise inaccessible hosts, or trigger requests to external infrastructure under attacker control.
