CVE-2025-7376 is a Windows shortcut/symlink-following vulnerability affecting multiple Mitsubishi Electric and Mitsubishi Electric Iconics Digital Solutions products, including GENESIS64, ICONICS Suite, MobileHMI, Hyper Historian, AnalytiX, IoTWorX, GENESIS, and MC Works64. In vulnerable versions, multiple processes use files as write destinations without safely preventing redirection through symbolic links. A local authenticated attacker can create a symbolic link from a file path used by an affected process for writing to an attacker-chosen target file, causing the process to perform an unauthorized write to that arbitrary file. The vendor states this can destroy the targeted file and lead to denial of service if the file is required for normal system operation.
