CVE-2025-9776 affects the CatFolders – Tame Your WordPress Media Library by Category plugin for WordPress. In all versions up to and including 2.5.2, the plugin is vulnerable to time-based SQL injection through the CSV Import contents. The issue is caused by insufficient escaping of a user-supplied parameter combined with inadequate use of prepared statements in an existing SQL query. An authenticated attacker with Author-level privileges or higher can inject SQL syntax into the import data, causing the application to execute attacker-controlled SQL within the context of the WordPress site's database operations. The vulnerability can be used to infer or extract sensitive information from the backend database.
