CVE-2025-9784 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in Undertow's HTTP/2 request handling. Malformed client requests can trigger server-side stream resets or aborts without incrementing the implementation's abuse counters, creating an accounting gap that allows repeated reset-driven processing to evade intended protections. This implementation weakness, referred to as the "MadeYouReset" attack, enables an attacker to repeatedly induce expensive server-side work on a single or limited number of connections, resulting in resource exhaustion and service degradation. The issue is described as an implementation flaw rather than a defect in the HTTP/2 protocol itself.
