CVE-2025-9803 affects lunary-ai/lunary version 1.9.34. The vulnerability is caused by improper authentication in the application's Google OAuth integration: the application fails to verify the 'aud' (audience) claim in a Google-issued access token. Because the audience claim is used to ensure a token was issued for the intended application, omission of this check allows an attacker to present a token issued to a different, attacker-controlled or malicious application and have it accepted by Lunary as valid authentication. This breaks the trust boundary of the OAuth token validation flow and can result in unauthorized access to victim user accounts. The issue is reported as fixed in version 1.9.35.
