SiYuan versions 3.8.0 through 3.8.3 incompletely enforce sensitive-path restrictions in MCP file operations. The sensitive-path validation in resolvePath(), via util.IsForbiddenAbsPath(), checks the allowed root of recursive operations but does not validate every resolved descendant. Consequently, protected non-hidden files and directories located beneath an otherwise permitted root can be accessed or modified through recursive operations. The affected operations include file.grep, file.copy, and unzip. file.grep is globally treated as safe and does not receive per-operation confirmation, while confirmation for file.copy and unzip displays only allowed root arguments rather than affected descendants.
