CVE-2026-10649 is an integer-overflow vulnerability in Pacemaker remote-message decompression, affecting the pre-authentication CIB remote-listener parsing path. In pcmk__remote_message_xml(), attacker-controlled remote-message header size fields can overflow during buffer-size calculations, resulting in an undersized allocation. Bzip2 decompression can then write beyond the allocated buffer, causing memory corruption and crashing the CIB remote listener.
